Website hosting fees are becoming more expensive every year. Hosting
fees used to be reasonable, but the market has changed to where the
first year is fine, but after that fees start to soar, and changing
hosts frequently is a tedious and time-consuming process. And,
unfortunately, the site ads aren't covering it. If you can,
please consider a small donation
to PopApostle with the PayPal button below...any
amount is appreciated. Thank you!
If donations are strong enough, I will eliminate the site ads.
Besides the ongoing studies already progressing, coming soon to
PopApostle, Space: 1999!

Notes from the Jurassic Park chronology
This episode takes place concurrently with the events of
Jurassic World.
Didja Know?
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is a CG-animated TV
series that aired on the
Netflix
streaming service from 2020-2022 for five seasons and one
special. While the first couple of episodes take place before
and during the events of
Jurassic World,
the rest of them take place shortly after that film, and about
three years before the events of
Fallen Kingdom. Netflix is currently producing episodes
of a sequel series, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, whose
first season began in May 2024.
Each episode of the
series opens with the words "A Netflix Original Series" over
what appears to be a T. rex footprint in the jungle mud.
The
Universal Pictures logo that appears after this is altered
from the usual to have the Earth globe with a continent that
looks very roughly like the supercontinent Pangaea may have
looked in the Triassic-Jurassic periods of the Mesozoic era,
200-150 million years ago.
As the Universal Earth globe spins, a second "continent"
seen is actually a stylized
DreamWorks Pictures logo (a boy sitting with a fishing pole
on the crescent Moon), followed by the
Amblin Entertainment logo.
The dinosaur that bursts out of the bursts out of the
Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous gates at the beginning of
the opening titles of each episode is a Tyrannosaurus rex,
possibly the infamous Rexy herself, but we don't see its right
side close enough to see if it has Rexy's raptor scars incurred
in Jurassic Park.

Didja Notice?
During the flashback at the beginning of the episode, Darius is
again seen consulting the
The Lost World of the Dinosaurs
book by Dr. Alan Grant, as he did in
"Camp Cretaceous".
At 2:00 on the DVD, when Darius' dad gives his son the
matching raptor tooth necklace, notice that the two
teeth really do match! As in they're exact duplicates of
each other...the stains and cracks in the fossils are
exactly the same! |
 |
Roxie tries to leave a voice mail message for Claire Dearing
about the recent incidents that have occurred at Camp
Cretaceous, referring to events in
"Camp Cretaceous",
"Secrets", and
"The Cattle Drive". She also
mentions it wouldn't be a good idea for Claire to send her two
nephews to the camp now, as she feels it is short-staffed with
just herself and Dave attending the kids. Claire's two nephews
are Zach and Gray Mitchell, seen in
Jurassic World.
Darius admits he used Brooklyn's cell phone to look up a new
article online by Dr. Sattler. This refers to Dr. Ellie Sattler,
last seen in Jurassic Park III.
In the second flashback to Darius and his dad, Darius excitedly
tells his dad that Jurassic World is rumoured to be announcing a
new dinosaur to the park before the end of the year and says
maybe it will finally be an Anchiornis.
Anchiornis is a genus of paravian dinosaurs,
bird-like in some respects, including feathers and the
beginnings of wings, but it is not believed they could fly.
